I remember exactly how I got inspired to make this. I was trolling (not the ha-ha kind, the studying kind) r/spytrance. Someone asked for advice on string art. It’s not crazy. Lots of sacred geometry imagery at psytrance events. Lots of UV-reactive thread in all sorts of crafts and sculptures. Someone directed to r/stringart. I followed. Looked around. Something appealed. The geometry. Precision. I like things I can count. Things you take in as a beautiful, complicated whole. That you’d never count from start to finish. But if you zoom in… I zoom in. Break it apart, discover patterns at that resolution. I revel in the orderliness. Images from electric microscopes have this quality. Dry wall. Wet rocks on acid. Death metal. And string art, apparently.
