Echoes & Endpoints is built with Jekyll. Jekyll makes it easy to apply consistent page layout and interpolate values via Liquid templating. It is collection aware, making it good for blog-style sites. It handles SCSS “out of the box,” for easier stylesheet generation. And finally it has a number of neat plugins that handle individual tasks I don’t want to think about (SEO tags, RSS/Atom feeds).
